I want to spend the deposits, open the box, build it, use it and come back and tell my fam what actually happened. I'm working toward 500 subscribers on YouTube as the next milestone in growing that part of AuntieDeposits and pursuing more creator opportunities. Hey, boo. If you landed here trying to figure out exactly what AuntieDeposits is about, the short answer is: a little bit of everything — but there is a method to the madness.

And if I'm already buying it, researching it, building it, learning it, testing it or spending entirely too much time trying to figure out how it works, eventually I'm probably going to ask:

That question has taken my fam into some interesting rabbit holes. One day we might be researching another income stream. The next day I'm opening a Temu package, building furniture, testing something for the house, working on Pretty Bougie homesteading, figuring out a new AI tool or talking business.

We shop. We find deals. We figure out how people make money. We investigate how systems affect our money. We test products. We build things. We work. We talk. We homestead. We prep. We fall into random rabbit holes and occasionally discover another way to make or save a deposit while we're down there. That is AuntieDeposits.

This isn't about pretending every idea makes money. Sometimes we investigate something and decide it makes absolutely no sense for us. That information is valuable too. I want to know what works, what doesn't, what it really costs and whether there is a smarter way to do it.

This blog is where I can go deeper than I sometimes can during a live. This is where I can give my fam the links, numbers, screenshots, resources, updates, products, tutorials and research behind the conversations we're already having. But don't just read about the rabbit holes. Come join them.

I was already shopping, comparing prices, finding deals and telling people what I bought. So naturally Auntie had another question: why am I doing all this shopping without figuring out how the shopping can pay me back?

Now boo, this is exactly the kind of rabbit hole Auntie likes. I was already shopping. I was already looking for deals. I was already comparing products. I was already telling people what I bought. I was already opening the packages. I was already researching whether something was worth buying.

That's where affiliate marketing got interesting to me. The basic idea is simple: some companies have programs that allow people to earn commissions, credits or other benefits when their recommendations or referrals result in qualifying activity. Every program is different. And no, boo, clicking a link does not magically make money fall out of the sky. You still need to read the rules, understand the program and figure out whether it makes sense for what you're already doing.

Temu is one of the programs I'm exploring. And Temu makes sense for my content because y'all already know I'm going to shop. But I'm not interested in stopping at tiny gadgets and random $3 finds.

Forget another haul full of tiny gadgets. Auntie wants the furniture, tools, appliances, sheds, homestead equipment and giant internet purchases sitting in your cart because you're scared to spend your own money first.

That's what I want to test. And I don't just want to open the box and tell you it looks cute. I want to know everything that matters:

I've used Avon products since I was a child. I already knew the products, already liked them and was already buying them. Eventually Auntie's brain did what Auntie's brain always does — and I became a representative.

Avon was already part of my life. I grew up with the products. I knew the products were good. And I was still buying them as an adult.
